The Spiritual Warrior
Living on the edge is the only place to be truly alive. We love our comfortable securities, our habits and routines. We hold on to all that feels safe, we live honourable, respectable and responsible lives and perhaps all is going well…..but at the same time we are all slowly dying and a vibrant, passionate life is not happening. Don’t let your life be reduced to a working routine! We are here to live and experience and yet we miss our whole purpose by focussing on mundane things which maintain a false sense of security. We are not needed for our house or our bank balance, we are needed for our individuality, our presence, our love. We are afraid to really live because we are afraid that if we take a risk, we will become vulnerable and ultimately, we will die. Death is the basic, fundamental fear. When we become Spiritual Warriors, we experience within ourselves a deathless consciousness, and nothing can hold us back. Embrace death and become a warrior for your life.
At this special retreat we will explore our attitudes to death and dying, discuss our experiences, fears and attitudes. We will push boundaries and explore how our life vision can expand so that we are free to live, to love, to enjoy, and to trust without limit.
The Spiritual Warrior is a special 6 day retreat which has become known as “Death Week” – it is not all about Death. It is really about understanding death in order to be able to live well.
The module is not part of Level 2 and is an additional training which many people have found deeply moving and rewarding. There is no examination following the course and there is no official training manual because the week is about experience.
We explore our lives in relation to the certainty of death. It prepares us for the passing of loved ones and hopefully for our own transition whenever that time may come.
Death has a mystery and curious attraction for us, some fear it, some long for it. Either way, if we can create a better relationship with it, our lives will be richer and more purposeful.
